In this post, I want to begin writing about technologies known as the Pied Piper's pipe or perception distortion (techniques for influencing mass consciousness). They are used in both show business and politics, but in slightly different ways.

Although the usual Pied Piper of show business is no longer such a common phenomenon. They mainly remain only in Asia (primarily in China and South Korea).

I'm writing about this now because it's directly related to current political events. Furthermore, something very important (and extremely outrageous) happened to me. And this incident is also relevant to both current political events and the Pied Piper theme.

A Pied Piper is a musician, singer, or actor whose promotion uses technologies evoke emotional and loving addiction in his audience. Typically, they are singers who occasionally appear in films.

(I will only talk about male Pied Pipers here; there are also women who are promoted in a similar way, but things are more complicated there, and it happens less often).

Some of these techniques are also used to promote normal artists, but they produce a slightly different effect (in the vast majority of cases, they don't contribute to addiction). Normal artists are those who possess strong energy and a vibrant personality. Pied Pipers emerge where there's a shortage of normal singers and actors. And the empty niche in the market needs to be filled.

These technologies are used for a reason, because there's no other way to promote such an artist. Without them, their work simply won't be perceived, and it won't generate much interest. This is especially true for aspiring singers and actors.

There are certain signs that immediately identify a Pied Piper. These include a weak voice and low energy, combined with an active emphasis on sexual attractiveness, often artificially exaggerated.

A voice can be considered weak if it cannot be listened to without strain. Listening to it, especially for long periods, can cause discomfort such as headaches, loss of energy, and anxiety. Frequent listening to such music can lead to serious health problems. It doesn't energize; rather, it drains it. And it's not a matter of talent or lack of skill. The Pied Piper simply physically can't sing properly; he lacks the strength (due to depression and other health issues).

The song itself may be beautiful, and it may seem unaffected by the Pied Piper's weak voice. But listening to it will still be an unpleasant experience. You can simply imagine the same song performed by a singer with a normal, strong voice. And compare.

Even normal singers can develop this problem over time. Then the song needs to be supplemented with strong backing vocals, and it will sound good. Acceptable. But in this case, the singer maintains any popularity only thanks to their previous achievements. Beginning singers lack this, and they can only become famous thanks to such techniques if they are unable to sing properly.

The easiest way to recognize a Pied Piper is by their voice. They also usually have a lot of problems playing musical instruments. They seem to know how to play, but their performance is somehow inexpressive, mediocre. But there are more interesting cases. Acting, however, is always a problem for Pied Pipers. They can only look good in situations where their weakness and depression fit in well. In other cases it looks very boring and unnatural.

Exaggerated attractiveness is achieved through:

- objectifying shots (the camera slowly moves up or down the body, then closes up on the eyes and lips, sometimes also on the hands or other body parts). The Pied Piper is constantly shown this way, during concerts and interviews, in music videos and films;

- a large number of explicit photographs that are shown publicly;

- erotic scenes in music videos (and sometimes these scenes may even be without the Pied Piper's participation);

- certain self-objectification techniques that the Pied Piper is taught early in his career. Essentially, he is trained to constantly present himself as a sexual object. The Pied Piper himself may not even remember how this training took place, meaning it was divided into many smaller stages.

"Romantic legends" are also sometimes used for this purpose. They can be based on real events from his past. Most often, these are stories of unhappy love or childhood trauma. (At the same time, the Pied Piper's work does not provide any original answers to the question of how to cope with all these problems. It is always extremely banal).

And all this goes hand in hand with keeping his personal life secret. He must appear not only suffering (deserving sympathy) and romantic, but also accessible. Hard to get, but still accessible. Beginning Pied Pipers tend to keep their personal lives secret. And even those who aren't quite beginners. And marriage always has a negative impact on a Pied Piper's career. It can even ruin it completely.

If the Pied Piper doesn't know exactly what he's doing, he'll react inappropriately to the constant female attention he receives. The attention will irritate him. Why can't they simply admire his music? Why do they have these inappropriate feelings for him? And they even talk about these feelings! Don't they understand that he can't have any kind of relationship with them? But in this case, he himself refuses to understand that without these "inappropriate feelings," there would be no admiration for his music. And that his entire activity is aimed precisely at evoking these "inappropriate feelings." Because there's no other way to sell his work. The attitude toward his music depends entirely on the attitude toward him.

Conventionally, Pied Pipers can be divided into less dangerous (“primitive singers”) and more dangerous (“suffering romantics”).

There are many "primitive singers," and they don't even differ much from normal artists. They usually try to create the illusion of a higher energy level (but only the illusion, not the actual increase). They differ from normal artists in that they have little or no originality, and their energy level is lowered. They come across as mediocre performers who have simply been overhyped.

But these Pied Pipers really aren't all that dangerous. They seek money and admiration for their dubious work, but at least they don't claim sympathy. On the contrary, they strive to appear more energetic.

"Suffering Romantics" create a completely different impression. They seem talented and can even occasionally produce something original. The problem lies precisely in their weakness and depressiveness. This is what makes them professionally unsuitable. And this is their normal state; they're constantly like this. Some of them even write good songs, but they can't perform them properly.

The main danger of such a Pied Piper is that he wants too much from his audience. Not just money and admiration, but also sympathy. In fact, he constantly uses them as a psychological support group, only he wants to be paid for it.

In other words, this is a rich person (or someone who aspires to wealth) who seeks sympathy from ordinary people, including the poor. Only after acquiring wealth, admiration, and sympathy does he not resolve his problems, but instead continues to cultivate them to "stay in character." And so on until the very end of his career. Although "suffering romantics" usually don't live long.

A person falls under the Pied Piper's spell the moment the Pied Piper succeeds in getting what he's after—getting more than he can and wants to give. And after that, the addiction will gradually increase unless the person somehow manages to get rid of it (but in which case, it's essential to stop spying on him, not watch or listen to what he does, and not try to treat it like ordinary songs and films).

For a girl to fall in love with the Pied Piper, he must be her type, they must have a lot in common, and she must have watched and listened to his music for a long time. The Pied Piper can have an effect after watching just a few music videos or a single film featuring his songs, or after attending his concert.

Then the girl develops a desire to "return her investment," meaning to receive reciprocal attention from the Pied Piper. A lot of it. To become his close friend. She begins to fantasize about meeting him and having a romance with him. Under the influence of her addiction, the girl continues to be interested in the Pied Piper's work, watching his videos and films, listening to his songs, and attending his concerts. And this is precisely an addiction, not just an interest in his work. A normal interest in his work cannot be accompanied by a morbid desire for an intimate relationship with the artist.

It often happens that girls suffering from depression fall in love with the Pied Piper. This is perfectly logical – these girls are very vulnerable, and the Pied Piper seems very close to them due to his own depression.

In such a situation, it's even more debilitating that Pied Piper's songs are often stuck in your head. Pied Piper music often produces this effect. The catchy melodies and the abundance of catchy lyrics. And the language of the lyrics doesn't even matter; the combination of sounds is what matters. The brain still remembers and reproduces them. Pied Piper music can cause real acoustic trauma, as it's impossible to listen to without strain; it gives you a headache. If such music is constantly stuck in your head, the trauma is greatly amplified.

The amorous fans find themselves in a trap from which it's very difficult to escape without consequences. On the one hand, it's considered natural that girls fall in love with the Pied Piper. Girls are supposed to fall in love with such an artist; he's literally made for it. At the same time, these crushes are ridiculed by everyone around them, including the Pied Piper himself.

The whole situation can be described roughly like this: the fans collectively support the man with whom they have an unrequited crush, while he mocks their feelings and uses their money to have fun with other women (or men). And all of this is considered normal.

It's also crucial that a significant portion of the Pied Piper audience has always been underage girls. Granted, the proportion of minors in the Pied Piper audience is dwindling. But they're still there. And what's most important is that this Pied Piper influence (including on underage girls) is still considered completely normal. In reality, however, it's pure fraud, intentional harm to health for selfish purposes.

Of course, not everyone likes Pied Pipers; many dislike them. Every Pied Piper has a whole army haters. And this is completely natural. From the outside, the Pied Piper always seems to occupy an inappropriately high position. Due to their peculiarities, they cannot be professional singers, musicians, or actors. Even if they have talent, these peculiarities make them professionally unsuitable. And many people sense this.

The Pied Piper is especially irritating to people who have fallen under the influence of his pipe; they find it unpleasant and want to get rid of this addictive feeling. However, people who have fallen under of the Pied Piper's influence typically don't even perceive certain unpleasant sensations as consequences of their infatuation with the Pied Piper. And breaking such an addiction is very difficult. It can even ruin a person's life.

At first glance, this seems to put the Pied Piper in an advantageous position. However, the use of these technologies harms not only the Pied Piper's audience but also the Pied Piper himself (and everyone he comes into contact with). This can ruin the whole life of a person who has fallen under the influence of the Pied Piper's pipe.
